This year has been challenging, to say the least…but it has also been full of blessings.
I started it going to the Grammys for the first time with my
Bokanté’s family than going on a tour that brought us to Abu Dhabi. Right after, I prepared to go on tour with Jacob Collier as a part of his new band.
Then, literally, the night before we left for our first show, the world stopped.
However, I was blessed to have my family with me for half of the year as they came to visit right before the virus cancelled all travels.
These months were so important to me. They put my priorities in check.
I was reminded of how much family is the most beautiful blessing in my life. I was reminded of the power of sleep and relaxation.
I was reminded of the importance of staying positive in times of injustice with all that happened socially, politically and ecologically in 2020.
This year was not about realizing dreams for me…It was about realizing the blessings that I took for granted. A huge lesson for me that I won’t forget.
Sending love to all my people. Especially those who need it the most.
